Only vaccinated worshippers will be permitted to perform Umrah

Only vaccinated or immune worshippers will be permitted to perform Umrah and regular prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina during the holy month of Ramadan, according to the Saudi Press Agency report on Monday.

Ministry clarifies conditions to obtain permits for Umrah and Regular Prayers at the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan

Permits will be issued to worshippers who have already received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or those who took the first dose 14 days before applying to obtain the permit, and those who recovered from the COVID-19 infection already, according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The permits can be obtained through the “Tawakkalna” and “Eatmarna” applications. Showing the permits and verifying their validity will be through the Tawakkalna application directly from the account of the permit holder in the application.
