The Health Minister of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has directed that acceptance of pilgrims in this year’s Hajj is linked with receiving Corona vaccine, Covid-19 vaccination is a mandatory condition for participation in Hajj this year 2021.

Al Rabiah said vaccination would be required for all taking part and direct staff to form a Covid-19 vaccination committee before the Hajj season in July.

He added that authorities must secure the manpower required to operate the health facilities in Makkah Al Mukarammah, Madina Al Munawarrah, and the other entry points for pilgrims.

The obligation of taking the Corona vaccine for those wishing to participate as this year it is one of the main conditions for participation in the Hajj season.

However, it is not yet cleared that pilgrims from outside the Kingdom who took the corona vaccine are allowed this year or not.
Last year, Saudi Arabia allowed only domestic pilgrims for the Hajj pilgrimage, including Saudi citizens and foreigners living in the Kingdom.
